If you, like me, have already attended a number of baby showers, you kinda get an idea of the theme that's often given to guests as baby shower favors – pastel-colored candies, scented candles, cupcakes or cookies, card or photo holders… all lovely little trinkets, and fits the theme exactly. But, honestly? Pretty useless for someone who isn't the one giving birth. Yes, all your guests are excited about the upcoming arrival of your little one, but when they go home, wouldn't it be better for them to have something they'll likely use perhaps even on an everyday basis to remind them of your baby shower?
If you were to ask me, here are a few examples of baby shower gifts I'd love to bring home:
1. "It's About Time – Baby is Brewing" Teapot Timer (photo)
2. "Pea in a Pod "Design Baby Shower Seed Packet" Flowerpot
3. "World's Gratest Mom" Cheese Grater
They all fit in the "new baby about to come" theme, and will never be just another trinket at the back of someone's cupboard.
