There are many benefits to doing yoga during your pregnancy. Aside from helping to keep you fit, it can reduce aches and pains, teach you relaxation techniques, as well as physically prepare you for the birth of your child. If you join a yoga class, make sure you inform your teacher that you are pregnant as the routines for Prenatal yoga differ from regular yoga classes. There are yoga poses and exercises that are specifically recommended for (or advised against) certain stages of pregnancy.
Here is a list of recommended prenatal yoga poses you might want to try. I personally like the Cat - Cow Stretch and the Pelvic Tilts for relieving tension particularly on the lower back.
As always, consult your medical practitioner before engaging in fitness programs during your pregnancy.

I did Kundalini Yoga almost to the end of my pregnancy! Each Kundalini Yoga asana series is done in conjunction with a specific breath that intensifies the effects of the poses with the purpose of freeing energy in the lower body and allowing it to move upwards.
